To help creatives thrive in their communities, ACRE offers a wide range of opportunities that reinforce the core program.

With smaller populations and more decentralize economic activity in Appalachian rural areas, creative entrepreneurs need to tap into in-person and online opportunities that build their customer base and showcase new creative practices and products. In addition, ACRE serves a wide range of creatives, so the “one size fits all” approach to opportunities will not work. Therefore, ACRE offers a diverse range of audience and skill building opportunities. Photo Credit: Handmade Arcade

ACRE helps creative entrepneurs to work together to access new patrons. These market and exhibition experiences are critical to us being successful in the communities where we live and work and beyond.

2023 Holiday Market

Handmade Arcade

David L. Lawrence Convention Center
1000 Fort Duquesne Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15222
December 2, 2023 | 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

For 2023, Bridgeway sponsored 23 creative business participants from its ACRE and ErieMade programs to attend the largest holiday market in the region. It was a catalytic experience for most of the participants, many of which had never attended a maker market of this size and/or one outside their community. Collectively, the sponsored makers earned over $57,000 in sales and greatly expanded their regional following and patrons.
